Medications are administered for your comfort during breast reduction surgery. Some patients can experience side effects of anesthesia such as throat ache, headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, shaking and muscle pain. Incisions are closed with layered sutures (that dissolve) in the breast tissue and with sutures, skin adhesive and surgical tape to close the skin. Incision lines are permanent, but in most cases will fade and significantly improve over time.
